The next generation of eco green vehicles are getting ready to hit the streets in about a year. If Renault will have its way, then we could be witnessing its latest line of zero emission vehicles in the year 2011. this new line should provide a much needed respite from the pollution and the addition to carbon gases added to the environment by today’s cars.
This latest addition to the latest growing environment friendly vehicles from Renault is named, Renault ZE (zero emission) and was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2009. The Renault ZE series is comprised of two seat Urban Car, a light commercial vehicle, an electric family car and a city car. With the new line of its urban vehicles, Renault is also introducing an all new market trend, where the consumers will be provided with an option of renting the rechargeable batteries, instead of buying the expensive power house that give the cars the energy to operate.
The whole idea behind the rent-a-battery program is to provide the users with the ease of mind as far as the batteries are concerned. The consumers will be able to recharge their car batteries via regular electrical outlets, that would take about four to eight hours and all the while they can have a spare battery for use in emergencies.
